I am singing the harmony for the most part but I do a solo about 3/4 of the way through!  We will be adding more music soon! :) :) :)

After further contemplation...

I am deciding to go out with a bang!  Next week I am going to take the feedback I received from my class and try to work a little outside of my comfort zone.  I have a few ideas in mind.  I am going to resist the urge for order, completion, and realism.

Current Project

I used mosaic for the background in this one as opposed to just painting it.  I am slowly making progress.   Warlords in Somalia slaughter and starve the innocent people for their selfish gain.  Why would I spend so much time painting criminals?  We usually always paint portraits and erect statues for heroes and famous people right?  Well, this painting helps me to sort through my feelings about it and to face the problem.  I hope to bring attention to the issue.

Mt. Nikapp

This is the project I decided to do over the weekend.  I was thinking about nature, the forest, the mountains, and I decided I would try and color a nature scene on someones body to make it look real.  My first attempts were futile but I believe my final product came out okay.  I placed a dark pillow behind the knee to make it more believable.  Ladies and gentlemen, please feast your eyes upon Mt Nikapp!

Natural surroundings- Patty & Megan

I pondered what I considered my natural surroundings for quite some time.  Then with the help of my boyfriend Seth, we came to the conclusion that garbage is a present natural surrounding.  We then built 2 snowmen out of garbage bags with beer bottles for noses and ear plugs for eyes.  The one on the left is melting from the lamp obviously, and their names are Patty and Megan.
